The Chromomulator reports the current top 100 Google searches, as measured by Google Hot Trends, and then grabs related news, pictures, and videos for each search term from around the web. It's a great site to quickly check out what people are looking for online at the moment--whether you're just curious, or need a quick idea for a blog post!
The Chromomulator was a fun project, and although it is more complex than most of our projects, it was able to be completed in just a couple of weeks with Joomla! A comparable site built from scratch would have taken at least double the time, if not longer, to complete. And adding new functionality would be a nightmare! With Joomla as our framework, this can be accomplished in just a matter of minutes.

FightLockdown.com is a quickly-growing online community of Mixed-Martial Arts (MMA) enthusiasts. The owners of the site approached me with a very detailed outline of what they had in mind: community features, writer profiles, an active forum, ability to manage dozens of writers' submissions, and much more. With the flexibility and extensibility of Joomla, we were able to make their vision a reality in less than a week from beginning to end.
